My problem with VLC has been playback of older, interlaced videos, such as TV. VLC introduces unresolved, jagged lines in playback that Xine or Mplayer don’t suffer from.

The Ubuntu video is impressive, though it would be more so if it hadn’t the misuse of the second-person personal pronoun “you” where the possessive form, “your” is indicated, i.e. “you files”.
